  1. Do I need to book a space for my bags before getting to the airport?
    No bookings are required as we have plenty of space.
  2. How long can I store my items for?
    As long as you need to. Discounts apply at our attended baggage storage facilities if you have 5 or more items or stay 7 days or longer.
  3. What happens if I dont pick up my baggage in time?
    Relax don't panic. We will hold your baggage until you return (max 30 days from date expiry). Upon pickup additional storage fees will apply.
  4. Are 3rd party collections possible? - i.e. ( Person A) stores baggage and you want a friend or family member (Person B) to collect it on your behalf?
    Yes! Only in the following 3 instances;
    1. if the person A nominated person B to collect the baggage at the time of storage OR,
    2. if person A has given person B the receipt to collect the stored items on their behalf OR,
    3. Person A contacts us via the contact us section of the website, selects the relevant location and lists the following
      1. Name, I.D. type and phone number used when storing items,
      2. List ticket number(s) issued to the item(s),
    Note – In all 3 instances, photo I.D. will be required from person B upon collection.
  5. Can I engage a courier to pick up my baggage?
    Yes. You will need to notify us via the contact us page, select the relevant location and provide the following information;
    1. Name, Photo I.D. type & Number and contact phone number,
    2. Nominated length of time (including dates) of storing the item(s),
    3. Credit Card Number to be charged. Name on card, expiration date, CCV number on card also needs to be provided,
    4. If applicable, the name of the person picking up items
    Note This service only applies to our attended baggage storage facilities & an additional fee of $10 will be charged for administrative purposes.
  6. I cannot come back to pick up my items, can you courier it out to me?
    Yes. You will need to notify us via the contact us page, select the relevant location and provide the following information;
    1. Name, I.D. type and phone number used when storing items,
    2. List ticket number(s) issued to the item(s),
    3. Credit Card Number to be charged if items are overdue for pick up. Name on card, expiration date, CCV number on card also needs to be provided,
    4. Go to the unaccompanied baggage section in the services tab of our website and click on www.smartexs.com.au for an online quote and to book the service.
    Note – An additional fee of $10 plus the courier fee will be charged for administrative purposes.
  7. Can I engage a courier to drop off items?
    Yes. You will need to notify us via the contact us page, select the relevant location and provide the following information;
    1. Name, I.D. type and phone number used when storing items,
    2. List ticket number(s) issued to the item(s),
    3. Credit Card Number to be charged if items are overdue for pick up. Name on card, expiration date, CCV number on card also needs to be provided,
    4. Details of the courier company engaged and time of which they are picking up your items.
    Note – An additional fee of $10 will be charged for administrative purposes.
  8. What are your opening times?
    Opening hours vary between locations. Refer to the Locations tab of the website for further information.
  9. Where are you located?

  10. What are your storage rates?
    Attended storage and locker storage rates differ. For a quick reference to rates, please click on the Rates section of our website and select either baggage storage fees OR Locker fees for the service you require.
  11. What happens if I lose my ticket/receipt?
    Your identity will need to be confirmed via photo I.D. , and/or travel documents and additional authentication processes will take place.

    Note – An additional fee of $10 will be charged for administrative purposes.
  12. Do you store/hold car keys?
    Yes we do for the rate of $13 per day at our attended baggage storage facilities.
  13. Do you provide lockers or an attended baggage storage facility?
    The services offered vary between locations. Please go to our Locations tab for further information
  14. Are my items safe?
    Yes. We store hundreds of thousands of items annually across 24 locations in Australia and NZ. We have a proven track record of being a safe, secure and reliable place to store your baggage at major transport hubs.

    Note - When using our locker facilities and entering your pin code treat it like an auto teller machine. Ensure you are hiding the screen and protecting your pin code at all times.
